Trump's Granddaughter Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut
This young athlete maintains substantial online audience
Kai Trump will have plenty of well-known supporters when she begins her LPGA debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses several golf courses and often competes against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially advised me to play and relax," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and holds position 461 in AJGA listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior individual. He advised me to play, relax, following the flow."
She'll challenge several top competitors in women's golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that her participation brings the sport to wider groups, specifically among younger fans.
The young star boasts substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
