Top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka Secures Consecutive WTA Player of the Year Accolades.

The tennis star in action
The Belarusian player concluded the tour with an notable 23-3 Grand Slam match record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive season.

The 27-year-old won four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open in September versus Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth career Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Season of Consistency

Throughout the year, Sabalenka reached a tour-best nine championship matches, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also triumphed at the Brisbane International early in the season, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the whole season as the world number one, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.

In July, she became the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Numbers

Sabalenka ended the season with a sixty-three to twelve win-loss record, and picked up a historic eleven million pounds in tournament winnings.

She earned almost eighty percent of the votes submitted by global tennis journalists.

On 28 December, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "elevate women's tennis to a higher level".
